Conformational ensembles/landscapes and kinetic barriers in GPCRs & kinetics of interactions between ligands/effectors and GPCRsLigand-receptor interactions (cell culture systems);Downstream signal transduction pathways;Downstream cellular responsesIn vitro studies of GPCR energy landscape in lipid bilayers (nanodiscs) by NMR & study of kinetics of interations between ligands/effectors and GPCRs by single molecule force spectroscopyCell/Tissue culture experiments;Optophysiological experimentsYesOur research is aimed at gaining insight into GPCR energy landscapes in complement to the plethora of 3D atomic structures available. In particular, we are interested by the allosteric regulation of the activation of GPCRs by the membrane/lipids. Solution-state NMR and single molecule force spectroscopies are the techniques we are currently using to study receptors embedded in lipid nanodiscs. For a given receptor, we would be interested by a collaboration that could help us to determine in which kind of membrane(s) (and lipids) that receptor could be preferentially localized and how a modification of the lipid composition can affect its activity.CatoireLaurentCNRS/University of ParisFrance

COST

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is a funding agency for research and innovation networks. Our Actions help connect research initiatives across Europe and enable scientists to grow their ideas by sharing them with their peers. This boosts their research, career and innovation.

COST Action CA18133

All cells face the vital challenge of sensing their environments and responding in appropriate ways. How are different signalling pathways activated and modulated in precise and reproducible ways? Filling this gap in knowledge is absolutely necessary to advance the next generation of pharmaceutical drugs.
